After that miraculous day’s feature filming it was time to let our editor Abdul Javed work his magic on Final Cut Pro and work his magic he did.
When you get to watch a great editor at work you can’t help but marvel at the skill and speed at which they can cut, move, trim, speed up, slow down shots and adjust sound so that it sounds perfect.
If I tried to do half of the things that Abdul did that day, I reckon I’d still be there a few days later and it would look nowhere near as good!
In a matter of just a few hours Abdul finished the Trophy Tour, the Toyota Volunteer driver and the fan piece, all with the minimum of fuss – great working with you Abdul!
Because our first three pieces were in the can with plenty of time to spare it was time to head to Melbourne Park to catch the late afternoon/evening session of day one of the 2015 Australian Open. Two great, international sporting events happening side by side – Melbourne I salute you!
Managed to catch a few games on the outside courts and catch up with a few old friends to boot; again another good day in Melbourne!
